Silent Tears

The heart does hurt to hold back the tears,
As you think about all of the years.
Show no tears, wait till the time is right,
You know when all is quiet in the night.

You are the strong one My Child.
So you wait till the house is quiet,
To release the silent tears that were
held as the hours went by during the day.

All  had been placed on your shoulders without any help.
Because of your love for your mother,
There was no help from your brother.
You must remain strong for your family and friends.

You are the rock behind them,
And they may need you today.
They would not know what to do,
If they saw a tear rolling down your check.
You have always been the one to wipe away their tears.

You have to forget that your heart is broken into little pieces.
You being the care taker for so many years and displaced now.
You pass by an empty room and stop to think why so soon?
You know she is gone, but still on your mind.

You go to the kitchen to get something to drink,
And it comes to mind, what does mother need?
Then a silent tear falls from your eye.
 You quickly brush it away,
 Before anyone sees you cry.
So you keep the Silent Tears.

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray you give me the strength
and the compassion to forgive.  I know Jesus carried
the weight of the world.  He forgave the ones that put
Him to death.  I know I must forgive.  Dear Father
teach me.  In Jesus Name I Pray.  Amen. 3/24/00
