GOODBYE TO YESTERDAY
Another year
has came and gone,
So quickly it was spent.
Now I think back on days gone by,
And wonder where they went.
Was it just
yesterday,
That I was young and fair.
Looking forward to another day,
Without a thought or care.
Now I look
into my mirror,
And gaze at the image there.
I see nothing but a touch of frost,
Where once was raven hair.
My finger's
trace each tiny line,
That runs all o'er my face.
As my eyes recall the memories,
That time cannot erase.
So I'll take
each day as it may fall,
And not ask or reason why.
I'll just live it to the fullest,
Telling yesterday goodbye.
