Almost Home

For several day's,
I was there.
Right at heaven's door,
Closer and closer I did come,
To be with you no more.

Louder and louder I did knock,
But He wouldn't let me in.
He sent me back as if to say,
Go start your life again.

So many things you've left undone,
Things that you must do.
When you've completed all my list,
That's when I'll come for you.

But once again I did try,
To get through that special door.
But once again, He ignored my knock,
And sent me back once more.
