The devil had frightened me for a
long time. I got sick a year ago and I went
to a doctor by the Methodist in Texas. I
was hurting in my stomach, I thought it was
my Crohn's disease but it
wasn’t. I had a CAT scan and they found
nothing. I went to several doctors at
Baylor in Dallas. The last Doctor ran a
scope down my throat and thought he found
an ulcer. He took samples of tissue and
sent it to the lab. An appointment was made
for me the next week. I was told that I had
a tumor and that the pathological report
found cancer, which brought tears to my
eyes. A major surgery called a Wippel was
scheduled. I knew when I was twenty-one I
had to have an Ileostomy for Crohn's and
would be facing surgery again at
thirty-eight years old. I prayed and on
Nov. 4th I stayed in surgery for nine hours,
I woke up with tubes everywhere and was on a
respirator. The Lord knew what my needs
were. I left the hospital after eight
days, I was home a week, when my husband had
to take me to the ER at Baylor and they did
more test. I stayed there ten hours until
they told me that my bowel had died and I
needed emergency surgery. I started praying
and the Lord told me that he wouldn’t put
more on me than I could handle. I told the
devil he was a liar. I was put back in the
hospital, the next day the doctor came in
and told me every thing was normal. I
didn’t need surgery. I knew the Lord was
with me and healing me. I went to see the
Oncologist about my cancer and he said they
found spots on my liver. Again the devil
was still trying to attack me but I never
let him. I went for a MRI and the report
came back as fatty tissues on the liver.
You see how the Lord works through prayer.
The doctor told me I was in remission.
Praise God! I needed chemo and I could take
the IV chemo but could try the pill chemo,
he said it would make me sick. Well I have
been somewhat sick. I went back to work on
the 2nd of January. I am trying so hard, the
Lord is the one who has given me the
strength I need to deal with all. The Lord
was still working in my life when I went to
get the chemo prescription filled. The
druggists said that the pills were $1,580
for 126 pills. My heart just sank with that
much cost, but I had to have the pills.
Praise God again, my insurance took care of
the full cost. I had received a statement
from the insurance and it look like I owed
the hospital $42,000, I called the hospital
and found out again the insurance took care
of it all. Again I thanked the Lord. At
this time I was out of work for over two
months and didn’t know how I was going to
buy Christmas gifts for my children. Their
ages are eleven, fourteen and fifteen years
old. I went again to the Lord and prayed.
My work collected money for my family and my
church helped out. My faith is strong
and I know that the Lord with prayer
handles all things. God and his angels are
watching over us. Praise God, a month after
I was home, my husband and all three of my
children were saved and were baptized. I
was already saved and it was time for the
Lord to touch and heal my family with his
grace. For me I cried happy tears. The Lord
had done his work again. He is a wonderful
and loving God. In times of need, pray just
pray. See all of the miracles the Lord has
blessed my family and me with.
GOD BLESS YOU SANDRA
