THOUGHTS

(Matthew 5:27-30) Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.  As I read that scripture I realized that it was adultery committed in the thoughts due to lusting after a woman. The word of God states very plainly that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her already has committed adultery in his heart. The lust of the eye will become adultery in the sight of God. Our THOUGHTS control our direction in our lives. The is a hard subject and it needs to be stated in the truth of our Lord's words. Many right now are in the lust of the eye and are going into the fires of hell itself as they have committed sins with their thoughts and those sins have become alive in their life to damn them for eternity. (II Cor. 10:3-5) "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ".  Once again the scriptures talk about the fact that we must bring our THOUGHTS into the obedience of Christ. This scripture states very plainly that we must cast down IMAGINATION and high thing that exalteth itself against the KNOWLEDGE OF GOD. In (II Cor. 10:3) it states we do not war after the flesh. This war is in the spiritual and it becomes our responsibility to bring forth the KNOWLEDGE of God into the fight. Our weapons are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. To make war in the spiritual we must have the full AUTHORITY of God the Father. This AUTHORITY is centered in and through His blessed Son, Jesus Christ. We are no match for the fallen angel of hell who's name is Satan. He is too powerful for just a man of the flesh. It is as we become a man of the Spirit of God, that we become a fearful foe to this fallen angel of hell. IN CHRIST you will find an unlimited amount of AUTHORITY and great spiritual power. Here are just a few of the study notes from My Bible that gives us the KNOWLEDGE of our rightful place IN CHRIST. We destroy reasoning of pagan philosophers and Jewish rabbis and their dogmas that nullify the Word of God and the facts of the Gospel.  These fortifications we pull down and demolish are the doubts of hell itself concerning the truth of the Word of God. We put to flight the demon powers and alien armies, raising the banner of the cross high on the field of battle. We demolish all theories, reasoning, and any high system of ethics, religion, mythology, metaphysics, sublime doctrines, or philosophy set forth to defy the knowledge of God. All the boasted gods, lords, sacrificial and medatorial systems fell before the Gospel. The high-sounding phrases of Plato, Aristotle, the Stoics, and even Judaism fell before the preaching of the crucified and risen Christ. Heathenism shrank before the Gospel and called on secular powers to defend it. Every THOUGHT must be brought into the obedience of Christ. We must take every THOUGHT prisoner and lead it into captivity to obey the word of God. Lascivious, vain and evil THOUGHTS of all kinds are brought down and made obedient to His laws. That includes any thinking which is contrary to virtue, purity and righteousness. See (Mt. 15:19; Mk. 7:21-22; Gen. 13:5; Gal. 5:19; Phil. 4:8; Gen. 6:5; Prov. 15:26; Isa. 55:7; 59:7; Jer. 4:14. Having the readiness to avenge all disobedience-We stand at all times ready, so to speak, to court martial any opposing the Gospel of Christ, after separating ourselves from them. The whole picture here is that of a strong fortified city where the enemy makes his last stand; entrenching himself about the walls; raising towers and preparing engines of defense and offense upon the walls to insure victory. The fortification, walls, towers, and castles are taken by the Gospel and the whole opposition is destroyed and taken captive. (Heb. 4:12) For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. What a powerful scripture and what an unlimited amount of authority lives within this scripture. The Word of God states once again in this scripture that He is a discerner of the THOUGHTS, and INTENTS. In your own mind define the word DISCERNER. Can't you see how powerful and mighty our Lord is today.  He sees our THOUGHTS that enter our minds and requires that each one of us take control over them through His words. We are the one's that must bring into obedience the THOUGHTS that enter our minds.
