Precious Memories![]()

My memories take me back,
To the place where I was born.
The house was old and roomy,
But at least it kept us warm.
![]()
There were seven children,
And we took a lot of care.
No matter what our need was,
Mom and Dad were always there.
![]()
There never was enough
money,
Tho Dad worked day and night.
We had plenty to eat and a lot of love,
That made everything alright.
![]()
Then as we all grew older,
One by one left home.
I didn't think about then,
That one day they would be gone.
![]()
Both Mom and Dad have passed
now,
And they don't live there anymore.
The next time that I see them,
Will be at Heaven's door.

Oh, these "Precious
Memories,"
Everyday that I unfold.
I wouldn't trade a single one,
For all the rich man's gold.

In Memory of Harlee & Ida Millis
Dedicated to my son-in-law.
