As
I look down at his sweet little face, I can only imagine the greatness he would achieve.
I nurtured him as he grew, I knew he would be special one day as I was told.
As a child he really didn't play like his brothers and sisters did. If the younger
children got into a fight, he was the first to break it up. He would tell them about
how much better it was to love one another, and talk about the disagreement. He
would tell them about the Father above, and the love He has for them. Often, I
would see him talking with someone, I couldn't see who was there, but I knew whom he was
talking with. When I couldn't find him, I knew just where to locate him. He
would be at the temple with the priest; they were amazed at the knowledge he had, for such
a young man. He grew to be a strong man. When he left home, I didn't see
him for many years. He told me he had to go to other countries and tell the people
about the Love of God. Finally he came home and we all rejoiced. Then he
started teaching the people around us about God. One day He would save mankind.
I
am Mary the mother of Jesus. I knew He was the Messiah, but I didn't know that
one-day he would die such a terrible death. No mother should ever have to see her son die
in such a manner. God sent Him to save mankind, and to change their
wicked ways. He performed miracle after miracle, but they still weren't convinced.
He healed the sick and raised the dead. They still did not believe. He fed
5,000 on a five loaves of bread and a few fish. They still did not believe.
What more could they ask of my Son? All these things He did and they still do not
believe. Some of His disciples did not believe, Peter denied him. Judas
betrayed him, He told them they would deny and betray Him, when they had their
last meal together. God put His words down in the Bible and man does not read
it. My son taught it and some listened, others did not hear. What has to be
done for man, to understand what my son has done for us? My Son was the most loving
gentle man, which God ever created and they took His life. I stood and watched as
they beat him and nailed him to the cross. I could do nothing. I felt helpless
for the first time in my life. I was told this was His destiny. It was too much to
believe what He did for us. They still mocked my son. He could have called on
God to save Him. The Angels would have taken Him off of the cross, but He chooses not
too. If it had been me I would not have saved those ungrateful men, who were putting
me to death. How many of you would do what my son has done for all of us? Do
you read the Bible or pray? These things I ask of you, just to know that my son's
death was not in vain. Now, think about what I have said. Can you imagine
watching your son die on a cross? Hearing His last words; Father, 'into Your hands I
commit My spirit.' Having said this, He breathed His last. (Luke23: 46) The sun
darken, the veil in the temple tore. The earth shook, it was black as black for
three hours. This put a fright into the hearts of these men. A centurion saw
what had happened, he glorified God, saying," Certainly this was a righteous Man!
(Luke23: 47) I knew He was the Son of God and knew what was destined. But
the pain in my heart was still there. My heart rejoiced when I heard of His rising.
Will you rejoice when my son comes back to collect all that believes in Him? As
you can see His life is almost at full circle. The circle will be completed when He
descends from the heavens, then only then will the circle be complete. I of all
women was honored to have carried, loved and been the mother of Jesus, the lamb, the
Savoir King of Kings.
