My Brother The Son

As I was growing up I remember my oldest brother.  He was not like any brother there ever was.  I remember him to be kind, gentle and compassionate.  I would see him with the animals they seem to gather around, whenever he would go out into the woods.  The birds would come and light on his shoulders and never be afraid.  The deer, squirrels, and rabbits would eat from his hand.  It seemed, when he was among them they sang a song.  There was such a peace and a great laughter about him.  He was always smiling, never a frown on his face.  My brother was the peacemaker between my other brothers and I.  They would pick on me and he would take up for me.  When he was around I was safe.  He would teach us about Gods word.  I believe him to be the smartest brother in the world.  We had a very peaceful family life, even though it was a hardship at times. We never went hungry and were always warm.  I remember one day most of all carrying water from the well.  He carried it for me and we walked and talked.  I loved this time the most, He would tell me about God.  When He told us it was time to leave, tears came to mothers eyes and a gentle smile on her face.  He said it was time for Him to start teaching people about God.  I will never forget that day.  Mother knew what was destined for Him.  He told us so many things were going to happen, and not to grieve for Him.   He was destined to save mankind, He was the Son of God, and was from the beginning.  He was the Messiah, that He taught me about, as I was growing up.  I knew He was special, but I didn't know how special.  You see woman were often seen and not heard when I was growing up.  Still being young, it was hard to understand why my brother was the chosen one.  During His teachings I heard of many great things that He did.  I was told of miracles, healing the sick, making the blind to see, and the lame to walk.  He raised the dead.  Oh, all these wondrous things.    This was my big brother and I was proud to be the sister of Jesus.  I understood when He died.  He had always told me, we were the children of God and were all brothers and sisters.  It was the saddest day of the crucifixion of my Lord and brother.  Mother and I cried but rejoiced at the same time, we knew that He was saving us and washing our sins away.  On the third day He arose like He said.   This was another day of rejoicing and praising the Lord.  For I knew I would see Him soon at the throne of God, and we would all be in Heaven one day, as was promised from the start.  Yes, I am proud to be the sister of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, The great I Am.

The Lord gave me this page to write.  I had no ideal that Jesus had a sister when I wrote it.   I have prayed on this.  Yesterday I was reading Matthews 13:54,55,56 and there it was about Jesus brothers and sisters.  I have started studying the Bible as much as I can.  I have lost so many years in reading Gods teachings.  Since I have been walking in the spirit, I understand the Bible more.  If you do not read, you cannot understand what God has in store for us.  3/15/99
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
