Green-covered
the hills,
Blue-colored the sky.
Aqua-marine on
The water nearby.

Gray-shaded the shadows,
Pink-faded the flowers.
Translucent the hues,
Of the fresh morning showers.

Brown-hinted the Thrush,
Teal-tinted the Jay.
Mixed-toned the small birds,
That flew by that day.

Red-painted the
sun,
Gold-tainted the clouds.
The colors of Spring,
By the Father endowed.
