A NEED TO BE HUMBLE

Lord, you gave me this trial,
to open my eyes wide.
Because I needed to be humbled,
to lessen my pride.

The ways of the world,
were once again affecting me.
I needed this lesson Lord,
for my soul to remain free.

I did not mean to be sinful,
to fall away from your grace.
This trial has helped me Lord,
to again know my true place.

Now I will try once again,
to do as I have been told.
To follow your example Lord,
not to live my life so bold.

My Lord of mercy, compassion,
and unlimited love.
Thank you for looking after me,
from Heaven far above.
