It's Your Choice

I have my name in the book of life,
So do my kids and my sweet wife.
Things haven't always gone this well,
There was a time I was bound for hell.

I'd lived in darkness all my days,
With no desire to change my ways.
Then Satan came and ruined my life,
I almost lost my kids and wife.

I used to think that I was tough,
Could stand alone and all that stuff.
I found out that I was wrong,
I needed God all along.

I ran my life in my own way,
I worked real hard and then I'd play.
I didn't see the need to change,
'Till something happened that was strange.

I woke up one Saturday,
My wife and child had gone away.
My whole life seemed down the drain,
I did some drugs to kill the pain.

When they were gone I hit the door,
Went right out and bought some more.
I went broke and lost all hope,
No more money, no more dope.

All alone with my self pity,
Here in Tampa, my home city.
Then on TV I saw a man,
He said the devil had a plan.

The devil planned to ruin my life,
Take my kids and my sweet wife.
The devil's laugh rang in my ears,
And even pride couldn't stop my tears.

All alone I sat and cried,
From the terrible pain I felt inside.
There was a void inside my heart,
I felt like I'd been ripped apart.

I realized my life was dead,
So I looked up and this I said.
If you'll help me God, I'll not deny,
Your existence in the sky.

And I'll improve on what I lack,
If you'll just bring my family back.
Instantly He filled my heart,
And I could feel the devil depart.

I suddenly knew that God is real,
And Satan only comes to steal.
I quit playing Satan's game,
And prayed to God in Jesus name.

I have new life, no longer lost,
And it was Christ who paid the cost.
The Lord gave me eternal life,
And then brought home my child and wife.

Do not play the devil's game,
Just pray to God in Jesus name.
Call on Him and you'll be saved,
From the path the devil's paved.

God stands and waits to hear your voice,
Life or death, "It's Your Choice".
