Heavenly Father I lift up Elaine's unsaved family members to you in prayer. Her desire is to lead them to you Lord and she is trying to find ways to witness to them. Lord I ask that you draw her family members close to you. If they will not listen to Elaine then I ask that you send others who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior to share the GOOD NEWS OF CHRIST with them. I pray that her son's thinking that living the party life is the way to go will be replaced for a desire to do the things that are pleasing to you. I ask that you place each family member on the path to righteousness. I ask that you open their ears to hear, open their eyes to see and open their hearts to feel your wonderful love. I pray for salvation. I ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.
 

Heavenly Father I lift up the Balch Springs Senior Center to you in prayer. The members there have been informed by the  City Manager per instructions from the City Attorney that they are no longer allowed to have Gospel Music and a short inspirational on Monday mornings. They were also informed that they could no longer have prayer before their meals. A law firm has heard about the troubles there and  has taken on this case, free of charge. There was a big press conference on September 22nd to announce the contents of the letter sent to the City of Balch Springs and all of the officials involved. They have been given until next Tuesday, September 30th to lift this ban or there will be a federal law suit filed. Here we live in a society where freedom of speech is never questioned when filthy words or lyrics to songs are spoken but at the mention of our worship to you there seems to be a problem. This world is trying hard to remove your Commandments from court houses etc. from display and succeeding in doing so. This is the work of the evil one who prowls around seeking whom he can devour. He is the father of lies and seeks to destroy that which you have given to us, but we rebuke him and his followers in the name of Jesus. Lord we come before your Heavenly Throne and  ask that you intervene in this matter and restore to the members of Balch Springs Senior Center their right to worship in any manner that they please. We ask that you touch the hearts of  all officials who seek to take their  freedom of worship away. If they refuse to comply and restore their rights we ask that the court outcome be in favor of the members. Lord we thank you for these seniors who stand up and say that they love you Lord and will do what they have to do to have freedom to worship you. We ask in the name of Jesus. Amen. 
 

Heavenly Father I lift up Jason Stone to you in prayer. He is in his twenties and is scheduled to have Hip Replacement surgery on Friday, September 26th. Lord I ask that you wrap Jason in your arms of love. I ask that you comfort him and draw him close to you. I ask that you remove any fear that he may be having and replace it with peace and calmness in knowing that you are with him every step of the way.  I ask that you cover him with your healing power from above. I come before your Heavenly Throne on his behalf, believing that through you all things are possible and  I ask that you guide the surgeons hands and bring him safely through surgery, free from complications, completely healed. I ask that the results of this surgery be a testimony to Jason of your healing power and of the power of prayer. I pray that he will give all glory, praise and honor to you. I ask that you give comfort to his family as they await the outcome. I ask that you draw each one close to you. I ask that a GOOD REPORT be given. I ask for a speedy recovery.  I ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Update 11/18/03
Jason came through surgery very well, he did not need rehabilitation and he can walk without a limp. At times he will still limp mainly due to being so used to the limp being there throughout his entire life of walking. Thank you for your prayers. May God Bless you and yours.

Heavenly Father I lift up Harley Elizabeth Sale to you in prayer. She was born on May 15, 2003 and has been diagnosed with  Juvenile Monomyelocytic Leukemia.  Her doctors are currently searching the donor registry for a match for a bone marrow transplant, as her mother and two brothers have been ruled out.  To complicate the situation, her mother Lori  is a single parent.  Harley's father was tragically killed a few months into the pregnancy. Lori has had to quit work to take care of her. I cannot imagine the pain that Lori feels in her heart losing her husband and now facing the illness of her daughter. Your word says that you will never forsake or leave us Lord and I know that you will be there with her every step of the way.  Lord I ask that you wrap this precious little child in your arms of love. I ask that you comfort her and remove any pain and discomfort that she may be having. I ask that you cover her with your healing power from above. I ask that you provide for the financial need to pay for all medical bills. If healing is to come through a bone marrow transplant I ask that a donor be found soon. I ask that he or she be a complete match. I ask that she be brought through this disease free from complications, completely healed. I ask that Harley be a testimony to the doctor, medical staff, family and friends of your healing power and of the power of prayer. I pray that she will grow up knowing you and that she will share her testimony to many. I ask that you give strength and comfort to her mother and brothers as they await the outcome.  I ask that a GOOD REPORT be given. I ask that their sadness be overcome with great joy upon hearing that Harley is free from this disease and that they will give all Praise, Honor and Glory to you. I ask for complete healing. I ask in the in the name of Jesus. Amen.
