Until
We Meet Again
Family and friends gathered not to say good-
bye to Pastor Pat but until we meet again,
In God's eternal home,
where life shall never end.
Laurel Grove is where his ministry began,
Preaching God's word brought
great joy to this devout man.
This same location is where
he loved to go and pray,
For this is where he found blissful
peace in the quiet of the day.
The quaint little Church there was build of
stone,
It had stained glass windows
and became his home.
Every Sunday morning he would be there,
Equipped with the word of God to share.
He turned many from their life of sin,
Led them to accept Jesus and be born again.
Later on his ministry moved from the
quaint little church that he grew to love,
A move that was directed by God above.
He remained at this new location until his
work was completed as God had planned,
Then the Angels came for this preacher man.
We rejoice that he is in Heaven
with our Lord above,
We know that Jesus was there to meet
him with outstretched arms of love.
He would not want us to grieve for him,
but he'd want us to press on,
To share the love of Jesus with others
in word or through a song.
He's want us to run the race with
perseverance until our life here is through,
He's want us to fix our eyes on Jesus,
who died for me and for you.
We shall remember always
our beloved Pastor Pat,
From the pulpit where he preached
to the office chair in which he sat.
Let not your hearts be saddened
he is with our Lord above,
Surrounded by the beauty of heaven,
filled with God's love.
When our life here is over we shall
meet with him again,
But until that time let us keep swinging for
Jesus until the very end.

The end of my poem reads let us keep swinging
for Jesus until the very end. During my Pastor's
time in the Intensive Care Unit he passed out
Bibles and witnessed the Love Of Christ to every
one who entered his room. He said to a man who
went to visit with him, if it's time for me to
go, then I will go out swinging for Jesus. He
saw angels around his bed and described them to
his wife, at the wake there was an angel which
he had drawn as he saw it. Pastor Pat was a
wonderful teacher of God's word, he preached on
Sundays, held prayer meetings on Sunday nights
and taught classes on Wednesday nights. He went
out evangelizing to peoples homes, he baptized
many who had accepted Jesus as their Lord and
Savior and he played various musical
instruments, when needed he did so during Praise
and Worship before his sermons. He shall be
missed deeply by his wife, his family, friends
and his congregation. We thank God that he
crossed our path in life.
