Heavenly Father I lift up my mother
Virginia to you in prayer. She is a
wonderful, loving mother and I thank you for
her. She is the mother of ten children and we
all love her dearly. She had a blood test done
to see how her kidneys are functioning and the
result was not encouraging, the test shows that
her kidneys are failing. She is scheduled to
have a repeat test done on Monday, if there is
no improvement she will have to be admitted to
the hospital. She was told a few weeks ago that
she needs to be put on dialysis, her decision is
no, based on her age of ninety-one and numerous
health problems. Lord I ask that you wrap my
precious mother in your arms of love. I ask that
you remove any pain and discomfort that she may
be having. I ask that you draw her close to you.
I ask that you cover her with your healing power
from above. I come before your Heavenly Throne
on her behalf, believing that through you all
things are possible and I ask that you restore
her kidneys to function normally. I ask for a
GOOD REPORT when the next test is completed.
I ask that she be a testimony to the doctors,
family and friends of your healing power and of
the power of prayer. If it is not your will to
heal her miraculously, then I ask that you give
her wisdom as to making her decision to have or
not to have dialysis, without it she will not
live. Lord I know that she is a Christian and I
know that when her time here on earth is done
she will live again, but I don't want to let her
go. Lord I love her so much and I thank you for
the ninety-one years of life that you have given
her. I thank you for every illness that you have
brought her through. I thank you for her
salvation. I thank you for Jesus. I ask that you
wrap my family in your arms of love. I ask that
you comfort us Lord and help us through this
difficult time. I ask that you give us your
peace that surpasses all understanding. If it is
not your will to heal her, then I ask for mercy,
I ask that she not suffer. I ask that you give
us the strength to accept your will. I ask in

7/3 Update
My mother was admitted to the hospital today.
Her kidneys are functioning at only 10% the
doctor said there is nothing they can do for
her. Please pray and keep the family in prayer
as well.

Update
Mom was released from the hospital today. PTL!
She was diagnosed with bleeding ulcers and
placed on medication. There is nothing they can
do for her kidneys, the doctor said no dialysis.
She is in God's hands and that is where I will
leave her. The nurses could not get over what a
strong woman she is at 91 years old. My family
and I thank all of you so much for your
continued prayers for our family.
My nice Ann is still not good, keep her in
prayer. Her kidneys are functioning at 13%.
God willing I can get down to see Mom soon, was
going to leave today but I will wait now.

Update 9/25/03
We had our
family reunion in Sept. A total of seventy-seven
attended. We had a wonderful time and we
celebrated my mother's 92nd birthday. She was
really happy and I must say that she does not
look her age. My brother Frank prayed before we
ate and thanked God for all that he has brought
us through and prayed for those who are not
well. We had a band and they sang some country
songs and some gospel. Of course my favorite was
gospel, How Great Thou Art and Amazing Grace. It
was so good to see my family and especially
rewarding to see Mom so happy. Now for an update
on Mom, she fell recently and my brother said
that she is bruised up pretty bad. I spoke with
her and she is in good spirits even though she
is very sore from the fall. Please continue in
prayer for her recovery. Thank you to all who
lifted my Mom up to the Lord in prayer.

Update 1/8/04
My mother has not felt well for the past four
days. She is not eating well and is
complaining of dizziness, nausea and stomach
pain. Today she did not get out of the bed. As
you know hospice was called in for her in the
summer due to kidney failure. Please continue

3/25/04
My mother has been in a
nursing home for over two months now. She
became very ill and my brother was told by
Hospice that she was nearing the end. He had
to get their permission to take her to the
Emergency Room, to make a long story short he
dropped Hospice, took her to the ER and Praise
God she made it through. She was placed in a
very good nursing home as she needs care that
my brother can't provide, plus she is in
physical therapy which they do at the nursing
home. I went to see her and stayed for three
and a half weeks. I watched her improve day by
day. I watched her smile, I heard her laugh
and we talked a lot, said I love you to one
another and hugged one another. Thank you Lord
for that wonderful time. She had to go back to
the hospital recently for a few days, she has
a lot of fluid retention and the fluid is
seeping through her legs. there is some
improvement today on the swelling. She was
also placed on antibiotics for a kidney
infection. It is not up to the doctors, or
hospice as to how long a person has here it's
up to our Lord and He was not ready for her.

Heavenly Father lift up my cousin
Darrell to you in prayer. He is a
wonderful man and he is loved dearly. He has
been placed in the Critical Care Unit. I know
that he is in your hands Lord. I ask that you
wrap him in your arms of love. I ask that you
draw him close to you. I ask that you cover him
with your healing power from above. I ask that
you comfort him and remove any pain and
discomfort that he may be having. I come before
your Heavenly Throne on his behalf, believing
that through you all things are possible and I
ask that you bring him through once more Lord. I
ask that you give strength to his weakened heart
and return it to function normally. I ask that
you return him safely home to his family. If it
is not your will to heal him, then I ask for
mercy. I ask that you give comfort to his wife
Arleta, his children, grandchildren and sisters
during this difficult time. I ask that you draw
each one close to you. For those in his family
who have not accepted Jesus as their Lord and

Update 6/30/03
Darrell is in Heaven with our Lord.
He took him this morning. He is free from the
pain and suffering that he has had to endure.
Please pray for his family for comfort and

I spoke with Darrell's wife she said he had a
smile on his face when he died. I spoke with her
about the Lord and ask her if she'd like to ask
forgiveness and ask Jesus into her heart, she
said she had already. PTL!!!

to you in prayer. She is having problems with
her fingers swelling and pain in her abdomen.
She will be scheduling an appointment to see her
doctor for diagnosis of her symptoms. Lord I ask
that you wrap Joanie in your arms of love. I ask

cover her with your healing power from above. I
ask that you remove any pain and discomfort that
she may be having. I ask that you give her
doctor wisdom as he seeks to make a diagnosis. I

sister in Christ. I thank you for crossing our
paths together. She has been there for me to
help me through some difficult times and she has
a very kind heart. She had two mammograms
and both showed something to be questioned. She
will be scheduling an appointment to have the
abnormality investigated to make sure there is
nothing wrong. Lord I ask that you wrap Jane in
your arms of love. I ask that you draw her close
to you. If she has any fear I ask that you
replace it with your peace that surpasses all
understanding. I ask that you give her peace and
calmness when she goes to have whatever test has
to be done to evaluate the abnormality. I ask

Heavenly Father I lift up Tyler
to you in prayer. He is eight years old and his
feet are turned inward. It is hard for him to
walk without tripping. He is scheduled for
surgery on Thursday, June 13th to have this
problem corrected. He will be in a cast and
he'll have to use a wheel chair until he is
completely healed. Lord I ask that you wrap this
precious child in your arms of love. I ask that
you cover him with your healing power from
above. I come before your Heavenly Throne on his
behalf, believing that through you all things
are possible and I ask that you guide the
surgeons hands and bring him through surgery
free from complications, completely healed. I
ask that you comfort him and that the pain from
his surgery be minimal. I ask for a speedy
recovery. I ask that you comfort his mother
Grace as she awaits the outcome. I ask that you

Tyler is
home and doing OK. He is still in pain, the
doctor has him on pain medication as he doesn't
want him moving around a lot. Thank you for
lifting him up to the Lord in prayer. Please

Heavenly Father I lift up Elaine's
daughter and grandchildren to you in prayer.
The children range in ages from two to nine. Her
daughter's abusive husband took them out of a
safe house six weeks ago and it is unknown where
they are or if they are OK. Lord I ask that you
wrap Elaine's daughter and grandchildren in your
arms of love. I ask that you place a hedge of
protection around them and keep them safe from
harm. I ask that you provide a way of escape for
them. I ask that they be reunited with their
loved ones soon. I ask that you comfort Elaine
and her loved ones during this difficult time. I

Update 7/25/03
Thank
you for asking about my daughter. Thank you all
for your prayers. God has answered them! Our
daughter called and they moved out west. Joined
a church which has helped them get back on their
feet. Husband got a good job, rented a nice
house and everyone seems very happy. We are
going to visit in a few weeks to make sure all
is as seems. They are going to church every
Sunday and volunteering also. GOD really does

to you in prayer. She was experiencing shortness
of breath and made an appointment to see a
doctor. She underwent test that revealed a
Leaking Aortic Valve and a clogged artery. She
is scheduled to have a Valve Replacement done on
Wednesday, June 18th. Lord I ask that you wrap
Evelyn in your arms of love. I ask that you draw
her close to you. I ask that you cover her with

heart becomes available. Lord I ask that you

some pills and was drinking alcohol also. Thank

of suicide from her mind. I ask that you comfort

Heavenly Father I lift up Noah and George
to you in prayer. These two young Marines just
returned from fighting in Iraq last week. They
were on their way back to Camp Pendleton after
spending the weekend in the San Fernando Valley.
George was driving and fell asleep at the wheel.
The accident left George with a broken jaw in
three places and a broken leg. Noah has a C5
injury that the doctors think will leave him
paralyzed from the stomach down. He underwent
two surgeries on June 5th., one for the neck and
spine, the other for his nose. Lord I ask that
you wrap Noah and George in your arms of love. I
ask that you comfort them and draw each one
close to you. I ask that you cover them with
your healing power from above. I ask that you

having. I ask that you give healing to George's
jaw and leg and bring him through his injuries,

Heavenly Father I lift up Frank, Lisa, TJ
and others in their Church congregation who
are planning a short missions trip to Jamaica.
They are scheduled to leave on June 30th and
return on July 10th. They will be going to
Knockpatrick, Jamica to assist in building a new
facility at the Caribbean Christian Center for
the deaf. CCCD is an academic and vocational
school for the more than 2,500 deaf children in
Jamaica. They will be doing a lot of physical
labor as well as sharing their faith in Christ
with the students. Lisa has been studying
American Sign Language for the past two years
and this trip will be a great opportunity for
her to put this teaching to good use. She will
be teaching the ministry team some worship songs
and simple phrases in sign to help communicate
with the children. Lord I ask your blessing upon
this group as they prepare for this trip. The
cost of the trip is $1,000 per person which
includes room, board and building materials,
therefore I ask that you provide for them
financially all that will be needed to make this
trip possible. I ask that you place a hedge of
protection around them and see them safely there
and back. I ask that no obstacles come in their
way to interfere with their trip, either here or
when they arrive there. I ask that you give them
strength and good health to accomplish the
physical task that has to be done in building
this new facility. I ask that you pour out your
Holy Spirit upon the children as the group
shares the Good News of Christ with them. I ask
that they be able to understand all that is
being said to them in sign, through scriptures
and through song. I ask that you open their eyes
to see and open their hearts to feel your

and his drinking is causing emotional stress in

cancer of the liver and pancreas and has been
given six months or less to live. He has lost
twenty pounds in three weeks. He will be
starting chemotherapy treatments soon as the
doctor said sometimes it helps people to be able
to eat better. Lord I ask that you wrap Dave in
your arms of love. I ask that you comfort him
and draw him close to you. I ask that you cover
him with your healing power from above. I ask
that you remove any pain and discomfort that he
may be having. All that can be done for him
medically has been done and the doctors have
given him six months or less to live, therefore,
I come before your Heavenly Throne on his
behalf, believing that through you all things
are possible and I ask for miraculous healing,
for only a miracle will save him now. I pray
that he will be a testimony to the doctors,
medical staff, family, and friends of your
healing power and of the power of prayer. If
Dave has not accepted Jesus as his Lord and

Dave passed on through his own hand and left
his wife and family. The memorial service was
held about a month ago.

to you in prayer. He is a diabetic and has been
having a lot of problems with this disease. He
also has other ailments, physical as well as
emotional. He loses his patience with the family
over the least little thing. His daughter, her
husband and their three children live with him
and his wife and this situation has been hard on
him as well. Lord I ask that you wrap John in
your arms of love. I ask that you comfort him
and draw him close to you. I ask that you cover
him with your healing power from above. I ask
that you remove any pain and discomfort that he
may be having. I ask that you place within him a
kind spirit toward other members of the family.
I come before your Heavenly Throne on his behalf
and I ask that you free him from any medical
problems that are a result of diabetes. I ask
that you keep his blood sugar within a normal
range and protect his kidneys and other organs
that may become damaged as a result of this
terrible disease. I ask that you give physical

who is recovering from surgery. I ask that you
give healing to her body and I ask for a speedy

Update 7/22/03
Just a quick note to first say thank you for
all your prayers. My husband John is still
working with the doctors on all his problems, I
have recuperated from my surgery. As we all get
older and have lost our parents I believe that
we all feel its a sign that we are next even
though you are still young. I would like for you
to remember us all in your prayers. We are a
large family living in the same house together
and sometimes it takes more patience than some
people have and for this reason alone we need
your prayers. Our grandchildren ages twelve,
thirteen and fourteen are living with us, we are
helping to raise them and they need us very much
so please pray that we both John and I, get our
health back in good shape. My brother Clyde from
up north that you prayed for when he had heart
surgery needs your prayers again. Also his wife
Judith. Clyde is going through a terrible phase
in his life and he is sixty-three years old.
He has asked his wife for a divorce after thirty
years and none of the family that lives up there
around them can understand why. Its really a
weird situation so please pray that he gets
himself back down to earth. Also pray for his
children and grandchildren. This is everyone
involved that it will effect. It's a shame that
the only time we contact each other is when we
need help and prayers. I am always at peace with
myself because God is always with me. I
have felt his presence with me so many times in
my life that it gives me a glorious feeling and
also makes me know that He is always there. Its
really hard to explain but all I can say is that
He made me know that He was there. As one
Christian to another I hope you understand what

is a suspicion that he may have Cystic Fibrosis.
He will be scheduled soon to have the sweat test
done that will confirm diagnosis. Lord I ask

that you comfort him and keep him calm as the
test is being done. I come before your Heavenly
Throne on his behalf and I ask that you bring
him through this test with negative results in
having Cystic Fibrosis. I ask that you comfort

tumor removed form her hand on Wednesday, May

Ruthie had her surgery as scheduled.
I spoke with her the day after and she said
everything went well. She said to say thank you
to all who lifted her up in prayer. She also has
an aneurysm of the brain please keep her in
prayer. The last aneurysm she had caused her to
have surgery and she went through a long
recovery period. Praise God that she is alive

weeks he will be going to Iraq. He is with the
235th Engineering Detachment from Jefferson

to you in prayer. She is scheduled for an
angiogram on Thursday, May 8th and open heart
surgery on the 9th. The cardiologist stated that
the surgery is risky due to the fact that this
is her second open heart surgery in the past
four years. She is also a diabetic. Lord I ask
that you wrap Marci in your arms of love. I ask
that you draw her close to you. I ask that you
comfort her and remove any fear that she may be
having and replace it with calmness and peace in
knowing that you are with her every step of the
way. I ask that you cover her with your healing
power from above. The doctor stated that the
surgery will be risky for Marci, therefore I

to you in prayer. He has been diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Cancer, he is in the hospital and
refuses to have any more chemotherapy
treatments. The cancer is spreading and his
liver is damaged from the treatment he had at
The Duke University Hospital two years ago. His
liver is seeping fluid which has to be
drained. When he is discharged from the hospital
hospice will come in. Lord I ask that you wrap
Tommy in your arms of love. I ask that you draw
him close to you. I ask that you remove any pain
and discomfort that he may be having. I ask that
you cover him with your healing power from
above. He is refusing chemotherapy treatments
and the doctors have done all that they can do
for him medically, therefore I come before your
Heavenly Throne on his behalf, believing that
through you all things are possible and I ask
for miraculous healing, for only a miracle will
save him. I ask that he be a testimony to the
doctors, medical staff, family and friends of
your healing power and of the power of prayer.
If it is not your will to heal him, then I ask
for mercy. I ask that you comfort his family
during this difficult time. I ask that you draw
each one close to you. If Tommy has not accepted
Jesus as his Lord and Savior I ask that you
place Christians in his path to share The GOOD
NEWS OF CHRIST with him. I ask that you open his

Heavenly Father I lift up a woman
to you in prayer who has been
separated
from her husband for over two years and she
desperately wants to get back with him.
She suffers from clinical depression, a result
of being abused as a child. She behaves in ways
she is not proud of at times but states that she
cannot control her behavior, nothing outrageous,
but she tends to lash out at others when she
doesn't mean to. Her husband was at the
receiving end of a lot of this behavior, even
though she loved him she constantly pushed him
away until he reached his breaking point. He has
not spoken to her in over two years, and she has
heard that he has said bad things about her. She
has been going to therapy and has been working
on controlling her mood swings. Lord I ask that
you warp this woman in your arms of love. I ask
that you comfort her and draw her close to you.
I ask that you remove depression from her life
and fill her with peace that surpasses all
understanding. Your word says that you hate
divorce, therefore I come before your Heavenly
Throne on her behalf and I ask that this
marriage be restored. I ask that you bring this
couple together with love and forgiveness toward
one another. I ask that they be able to put the
past behind them and start off new. If they have
not accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior I
ask that you send Christians in their paths to
share the GOOD NEWS OF CHRIST with them. I ask
that you open their eyes to see, open their ears
to hear and open their hearts to feel your
wonderful love. I pray for salvation. I pray for
reconciliation. I ask in the name of Jesus.

Heavenly Father I lift up Trina to
you in prayer. She had a hysterectomy last
Thursday and came home from the hospital on
Friday. Over the weekend, she was having quite
a bit of pain, but thought that was normal for
just having surgery. She was taken to
the emergency room and was admitted. She is
bleeding internally, they are going to have to
take her back into surgery to find out where the
bleeding is coming from so they can stop it.
Lord I ask that you wrap Trina in your arms of
love.
I ask that you draw her close to you. I ask that
you cover her with your healing power from
above. I ask that you remove any pain and
discomfort that she may be having.
I come before your Heavenly Throne on her behalf
and I ask that you bring her through, free from
complications, completely healed. I ask that you
comfort her and loved ones as they await the
outcome. I ask that a GOOD REPORT be
given. I ask for a speedy recovery. I ask in the

Update 5/2/2003
Trina went into surgery yesterday and so far
she is doing fine. She was bleeding internally
and they repaired the blood vessel that was
leaking. They have place a drain in her abdomen
to make sure that all of the fluid is drained
out. Last night a while after surgery when she
stood up, the bag attached to the drain filled
with blood. The doctor is hoping that this was
just the left over from what they could not
suction out. I spoke to her a little while ago
and she has not seen any more blood. She will
remain in the hospital until at least Monday as
they want to make sure there is no more
bleeding. I want to thank everyone for your
prayers for her and ask that you continue to
lift her up that she has complete healing and
recovery and that there is no more bleeding.

Update 5/25/2003
Trina, is still in the process of recovery but
she is doing so much better than she was. There
has been no more internal bleeding since she had
the second surgery and her pain, although, still
with her, is not as intense. She is hoping that
soon she will be healed enough so that she can
return to work and drive. Thank you so much for

you in prayer. He is ten months old and has been
diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, Sheath
Neurofibromatosis. He has a large tumor located
in the lymph node area under the arm which has
enlarged alarmingly fast. He will begin
chemotherapy treatments on Friday. Lord I ask
that you wrap this precious child in your arms
of love. I ask that you cover him with your
healing power from above. I ask that you remove
any pain and discomfort that he may be having.

through this illness, free from complications,

Update 6/6/2003
Here is an update on Dylan, please continue to
lift this little one up to the Lord, He is so
small and tiny and should not have to suffer
this terrible disease of cancer. Dylan had
the first of a series of chemo in the Children's
hospital in Chicago on the 25th of May. He is
being taken care of at home in between
treatments with his Mom and dad, Tammy and Tom,
giving some medications (not chemo) through a
port in the chest. They need prayers for stamina
and helping hands at this time. They need the
strength to meet Dylan's needs and also take
care of their other two sons, ages 5 and 3.
Dylan is 11 months old. Thank you for your

Here is the latest update on little Dylan who

Dylan had his last chemo this past week and I
stayed at her house from Tues. through Friday...
Dylan will have the port staying in for two
months, then the doctors will decide what to do.
Cat Scan/more surgery to check other lung (I
thought this was all taken care of ?) if needed.
Vickie called me yesterday and said the other
boys-both of them-have Scarlet Fever !!! Good
Grief.
Dear Father Jehovah, I lift up to you Dylan, his
parents and his brothers and pray that you will
set a hedge around them to protect them from the
enemy's attacks and keep them from all harm.
Father, I pray for Dylan a swift and complete
healing and recovery from his cancer. Father, I
pray that you will lay your loving hands upon
Dylan and remove all the cancer and tumors from
his little body. Father, I pray for a miracle
of life for this child of yours. Father, I pray
that you will heal Dylan's brothers of the
scarlet fever that they have. Father, I pray
that you will give Dylan's parents strength and
courage as they go through these storms in their
lives and the lives of their children. Father,
I pray that you will give them peace and comfort
in knowing that you are always with them and are
in complete control of their lives and the
situations in them. Father, I pray that you
will wrap your arms around Dylan, his brothers
and his parents and let them feel the warmth of
your healing power and the presence of your

arthritis in her bones and joints and she is
always in a lot of pain. The doctor put her on
pain medication but she doesn't like to stay on
it all of the time. Lord I ask that you wrap
Yvonne in your arms of love. I ask that you draw
her close to you. I ask that you cover her with
your healing power form above. I ask that you
remove any pain and discomfort that she may be
having. There is no cure for arthritis, only
medications to ease the pain, therefore I come
before your Heavenly Throne on her behalf

that you free her body from this painful
disease. I ask that she be a testimony to her
doctor, family and friends of your healing power

to you in prayer. She had a tumor removed from
her arm and a tube was left in so it could
drain. The doctor had to make a cut about 6"
long to get all of the tumor out. The tube will
be removed on Friday and the biopsy results will
be in also. Lord I ask that you wrap Gene's wife
in your arms of love. I know that he loves her
deeply and is so grateful for all that she does
in taking care of him. I ask that you draw her
close to you. I ask that you cover her with your
healing power from above. I ask that you remove
any pain and discomfort that she may be having.

Update 6/10/2003
Just a note to let you know how I am doing. I
really appreciate all the prayers. God has been
so good to me and Gene. My arm is doing much
better. I still have to have it wrapped to try
and keep it from filling up with fluid, and I
still can't lift anything over 10 lbs. for a
couple of more weeks. I am just so thankful
that it was not malignant Please pray for
Logan. She is having to take prednisone
again. They were over this evening and the
little thing was just rattling. Please pray for
her. I know God can heal her.
